Oh this quilting is perfect for your hexies - Looks like lot of quilting here. Gorgeous!
It's part of the design for each one to be individual, like snowflakes, so although the hexies blend to be the background, a closer look shows that each one is a unique element in the quilt. Just put something like that in your writeup, then the judges will hopefully not complain. It is looking great.
looks great.how big are the hexies?
When you're doing them on a home machine they're not all going to be uniform. I didn't get marked down for my first ever attempt at feathers and that was at the festival of quilts and the judges there are a lot meaner than at Uttoxeter.
I love the snails but I am not a judge. I have never entered anything but on line quilt contests.
I think it looks great!
It looks like lots of cupcakes :)
I love it!, It is so nice how the navy blue hexagons are popping up. Such a good job.
I love your snails, Susan! I don't think perfect means to look excatly made, like made in fabric - your quilting is handmade (even with machine) and it's beautiful and perfect! x Teje
Who cares what the judges think - your adoring fans love it.
I think they are awesome! Pooh-y on those stuffy judges, wink!
It's looks FABULOUS. And what do judges really know anyway? If they were judging on cute-ness and originality you'd win hands down!
It looks brilliant!! I just want to run my hands all over it :-) the judges will be crazy if they don't love it. And as someone said above, just tell them that you were aiming for uniqueness and I'm sure they'll happily tick the boxes that say "winner".E xx
Looks fab, love the quilting!
Pah, stuff the judges! It looks awesome :)
I've been to those quilt shows, and often the winners are perfect. Yours has innovation and originality, and is the movement in those snails is so tactile
I'm hoping for half blind judges when it comes to the quilting ;o)
It looks amazing - I love it!
It looks fabulous
It looks great, like tiny rosebuds. With all the very positive feedback who cares about a bunch of judges? Good luck for you anyway!
They are amazing!
I love it Susan. As someone else said I just want to touch it! I have no clue what judges look for, I can't imagine them not loving it like all of us.
Who cares what the judges say? I think it's a real stunner. If you love it (as you should) that's all that matters!
You are doing wonderful things Susan! I dont like perfect quilts, they have to look hand made and not shop bought! You must be ahead of schedule now?
That is such an effective technique, I really like it.
this is just looking better and better with all the added quilting
I like the texture, both physically and visually, the snails give to the quilt and hexies.
Oh I love this quilting pattern, I've done something similar but without the hexies to go over it's not so regular - this works so well!
If they were all meant to be the same they'd be better done by computer Susan but what can be better than that human touch! Keep touching your unique creation!
They look purrfect! :) such a soft quilting design!
They look pretty perfect to me
