I Deserve a Medal for...

I had such a good laugh yesterday reading your comments about what my hoop might say. Really, you've all given me inspiration for dozens more hoops. Thank you.

But without further ado, this is what the latest hoop said.

And it has been gifted already. Ange - Heart of Charnwood - came and spent the day at my house today. It was brilliant. We talked. We sewed. We talked. We ate. We talked. We discussed fabric. We talked. (You get the idea.) Ange is absolutely lovely. Can't wait to get together with her again. A real live sewing buddy. Yay! Ange will be moving house soon and is to have a sewing room of her own. Every sewing room should have at least one hoop, shouldn't it?

Ange brought these baking books for me the girls. They are reading them right now. Apparently Emily wants to make Blueberry Muffins first. Or Tangy Rhubarb and Custard Muffins. They sound tempting.

A huge thank you to Ange for coming for the day. It has been an excellent day. I hope you all had an excellent day too.

Susan

I guess that "not taking a hatchet to my family" was the closest suggestion! LOL

Thx for my fab hoop, it's already got pride of place in my "old" sewing space! It really was a lovely day, we didn't exactly run out of conversation on our first date, nearly 5 hours just flew by. And thx for the lovely lunch, I felt thoroughly stuffed on the way home. Lets do it again soon. x

That is just how I feel some weeks!! Never get the medal, I have to settle for a glass of wine and a chocolate bar. Sarah

Susan, you never disappoint - love your hoop! BTW, I made Nigella's chocolate fudge cake today; it's hubby's birthday but we won't sample cake until supper ... sure does looks and smell good. Thanks.

I have actually stabbes someone with a fork. Admittedly I was three and it was my little brother. I've never lived it down. He'd howl with laughter if he saw this.

Brilliant hoop! Those were my sentiments today after 3 hours with a boiler engineer! Love the sound of rhubarb muffins! LOVE rhubarb! If I ask her nicely, do you think Em would send a few down for me on 2/3? Jxo

So it was a violence-related one - all your commenters were on the right track! Fab hoop. Is the biscuit book good! I've been thinking of getting one in the hope of mastering iced biscuits - my icing consistency is v v hit and miss.

Love the quote, but I think Shay's hatchet would have been more impressive, lol.

Sounds like the perfect day! How lovely to have a new 'real life' quilting buddy! I have Baking Magic and the butter biscuits are divine, and I love the 'traybake cupcakes' for a really quick but home made cake option :-)

I'm remembering Muttley asking Dick Dastardly for a medal at the end of each episode! Hope you get yours and you fall into raptures like him!

Great to have a local sew buddy!
